Selected work

People at the center.
Purpose in the work.

Community programs, practical tools and cross-cultural collaboration.

Community-led peacebuilding

A psychosocial-support toolkit for community leaders.

IELCO · Colombia · 2024–2025

Led the creation of a psychosocial support protocol that equips community and church leaders to support people affected by Colombia’s armed conflict.

Role, approach & result
My role
Peacebuilding Psychosocial Support Advisor, working with IELCO in partnership with Felm.
The approach
Developed the protocol alongside community-focused work: workshops on psychosocial support, human rights, mental health and prevention of gender-based violence, with conflict-affected communities and peace-agreement signatories.
The result
A formalized training tool to help leaders provide community-based support, building on IELCO’s existing psychosocial work.

The protocol is organizational material; a work sample can be discussed with permission.

Localization & collaboration

Spanish localization for a global Bible-study app.

Waha · Remote · 2023–2025

Translated and localized Waha’s Bible-study and discipleship app into Spanish, adapting curriculum and interface text for Spanish-speaking communities.

Role, approach & result
My role
Official Translator and Localization Partner.
The approach
Translated, edited and reviewed content with attention to cultural context and consistency. Used Crowdin for localization tasks and collaborated on an AI-assisted workflow for article translation.
The result
Waha’s Spanish-language app supported over 2,950 meetings in 50 countries, with my contribution in translation and localization. The collaborative article-translation workflow reduced translation costs by more than an order of magnitude.

App localization and article-translation automation were distinct, collaborative contributions; these are not claims of sole ownership.

Research & conflict resolution

Research on land dispossession in Las Tulapas.

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana · 2026

Researched sociocultural trauma in Las Tulapas, Colombia, examining the effects of land dispossession and possible paths toward comprehensive reparation.

Role, approach & result
My role
Political Science graduate; undergraduate thesis researcher.
The approach
Studied the relationship between armed conflict, land dispossession and sociocultural trauma, considering the roles of affected communities, public and private actors, and their allies.
The result
A completed undergraduate thesis exploring the causes of harm and proposals for restoration, alongside a Political Science degree earned with academic-excellence honors.

About me

Different contexts.
The same commitment.

I’m a Colombian political scientist, now based in Canada. My work has taken me from refugee communities in Türkiye to peacebuilding initiatives in Colombia and client research in the private sector.

I’m drawn to work that connects careful listening with practical action: helping communities build their own capacity, making information accessible across languages and bringing the right people into a conversation.

Today, I’m also a co-founder of SpanAI Solutions. Across these different settings, my starting point is the same: understand the people, understand the context, and build something useful together.
